    US and Japan Discuss Beef Export Verification Program

    US - U.S. and Japanese officials met Monday and Tuesday in Colorado to discuss the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s beef export verification program, a fee-based system that provides extra assurances to importing countries. USDA spokeswoman Alisa Harrison said Tuesday that the Japanese officials traveled to Colorado to work “with some of our ag marketing folks to learn more about our beef verification program.”
