    No BSE relief for worried farmers

    ONTARIO - Ontario’s political leaders donned their denim yesterday for what has become a rite of passage when it comes to wooing rural support. But there was no relief for farmers beleaguered by the mad-cow crisis: McGuinty told reporters that he had hoped to have an aid package for those affected by the U.S. ban that continues to keep most Canadian beef out of the United States, but that his government is still trying to find the money.
